This necklace tells a story, it is narrative within jewellery and it holds secrets within… The large deep and sumptuous smoky quartz in the heart of the nest is guarded by seven magpies. Some perched, others swooping in to deliver treasures, to grasp at branches and to open the locket hidden behind the checkerboard cut gemstone.

Each magpie, hand cut from recycled sterling silver exhibits subtle contrasting areas of satin relief and high polish to demonstrate the colour of their plumage. The organic branches that weave throughout the design are finished with a 22ct yellow gold vermeil, designed to add a rich golden contrast and tone effortlessly with the gemstone hues.
Cleverly constructed from torque style links, the whole necklace has the ability to move with you. The keys and quartz drusies dangle freely, as does the beautiful faceted golden rutile quartz drop with its nest like inclusions, adding a glittering visage. The decorative fastening is well considered, adding a little extra intrigue with a hand engraved scroll and trinket style twinkling drops of key and quartz briolette.
