Three Special Rings

White Sapphires all the way!

Just before lockdown happened in the UK, I completed an engagement ring for Doug who had commissioned me to make a ring for his partner Harri. The design incorporated three beautiful fairly sourced white Sri Lankan sapphires set into 18ct yellow Faritrade gold, and on handover of the ring to Doug, as always with designing and making engagement rings, I waited in suspense in the hope that Harri was going to say ‘yes!’

Deco meets Gothic Decadence…

On a knife edge band of recycled 9ct white gold with yellow gold twig work detailing, this deco meets gothic decadence style piece was created last year with the assistance of my client Jonny for his beautiful bride to be Seana.

With it’s fabulous dark blue teal pear cut sapphire solitaire, fairly sourced from Malawi by Nineteen48 Ltd, I’ve been excited to show you and hopefully you’ve guessed it… the answer was YES!

Combining Heirloom & Fairtrade…

Lucy brought me some sentimental 18ct yellow gold in the form of an old ring and a setting that held some heirloom diamonds… We discussed her ideal wedding band… bold yet elegant with a scattering of sparkles and touch of magic to nest with her diamond solitaire engagement ring!

I set to work extracting her diamonds,melting down and extruding her gold, and matching it with the equivalent amount of 18ct Fairtrade gold to create this beautiful Triple Nest Wedding Ring with a contrasting central band of recycled silver…

I then bejewelled her treasured piece with heirloom sparkles, seven recycled diamonds, to complete what Lucy described as her ‘dream wedding ring”.
